Inspired by a moment observed in a stone quarry, Stack captures the subtle shift between weight and movement. Workers lifting one edge of a massive stone revealed an unexpected lightness within heaviness, a fleeting imbalance that felt both strange and compelling. This piece translates that sensation into marble, a material typically associated with permanence and gravity. By suggesting lift within solidity, Stack challenges our perception of mass, evoking a quiet tension between effort, balance, and the possibility of motion.
